On the afternoon of August 31, the opening ceremony for the 2026 Autumn Semester Pre-university and Chinese Language Training Program, organized by College of International Education (CIE), was grandly hosted at the Main Building Hall, Harbin Institute of Technology. More than a thousand international students from around the world have crossed vast distances to gather on campus, officially embarking on their new academic journey at our university. Zhao Yixiao, Dean of College of International Education; Luan Yongshun, Director of Department of Education and Teaching of CIE; Qiao Ning, Deputy Director of Department of Education and Teaching of CIE; Wen Qing, Deputy Director of the Department of International Education Management CIE, along with other relevant department heads and representatives attended this event.
赵异肖院长代表全院师生向新同学们表示热烈欢迎。她在致辞中指出，国际新生的到来为拥有百年历史的哈工大注入了新的活力，使我们的多元文化校园充满活力与多样性。她希望同学们珍惜在华学习时光，努力学好汉语与专业知识，深入了解真实、立体、全面的中国，成为连接本国与中国友好往来的青年使者。同时在学习中感受充满活力的学术氛围，并结识来自世界各地的朋友，不断挑战自我，最终实现梦想。
Dean Zhao Yixiao extended a warm welcome to the new students on behalf of all the faculty and students of the college. In her address, she noted that the arrival of international new students has brought new vitality into the century-old Harbin Institute of Technology, enabling dynamism and diversity to the multicultural campus. She hopes that the students will cherish their time studying in China, strive to master both the Chinese language and their professional expertise, gain a deep understanding of the real, multifaceted and comprehensive China, and become young ambassadors who foster friendly exchanges between their home countries and China. At the same time, she gave a wish to students that they immerse themselves in a vibrant academic atmosphere while making friends from all over the world, continuously pushing their limits, and ultimately realizing their dreams.
哈尔滨市公安局南岗区分局出入境大队钟震宇警官、来华培养部副主任乔柠、来华管理部姚国娜、来华项目部杨钰分别就法律法规、出入境签证相关政策、在校学习要求、在校管理规定、哈工大来华留学学位项目等内容进行深入解读，帮助新生尽快熟悉环境，平稳开启留学生活。
Officer Zhong Zhenyu from the Exit-Entry Inspection and Management Office of the Nangang District Branch, Harbin Municipal Public Security Bureau, Qiao Ning from Department of Education and Teaching of CIE, Yao Guona from the Department of International Education Management of CIE and Yang Yu from Department of International Education Project of CIE provided in-depth explanations regarding relevant laws and regulations, policies concerning exit-entry visas, academic requirements for international students, campus management rules, and the Harbin Institute of Technology International Study Programs. With their introductions, new students will quickly acclimate to their environment and smoothly enhance their study abroad experiences.
来自马来西亚的老生代表江宇恒和来自俄罗斯的新生代表施格分别寄语新生。江宇恒希望新同学们珍惜在哈工大的学习机会，多参加社团活动、积极主动拓宽世界朋友圈，相互磨合、互相帮助、彼此包容，尽快适应在中国的学习生活。施格用略显生涩却真诚的中文表达了对中国文化的向往。他表示，初到校园便感受到了老师和同学们的热情与温暖，对即将开启的留学生活充满期待，并承诺将珍惜这次难得的学习机会，努力学好汉语和专业知识，了解中国文化，感受冰城的独特魅力。
Jiang Yuheng, an old student representative from Malaysia, and Shige, a new student representative from Russia, delivered a message to the incoming students respectively. Jiang Yuheng hopes that the new students will cherish their opportunity to study at Harbin Institute of Technology, actively participate in club activities, proactively expand their global social network, get along well with one another, support each other, and show mutual tolerance, so as to adapt as quickly as possible to their academic and daily life in China. Shi Ge expressed his strong yearning for Chinese culture. He remarked that upon arriving at the university, he immediately felt the warmth and hospitality of HIT teachers and classmates, and he was filled with anticipation for the upcoming overseas study experience. He pledged to cherish this rare learning opportunity, strive to master both Chinese and his professional subjects, gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, and experience the unique charm of the Ice City.
培养部教师张竞文代表教师发言。她勉励大家尽快适应新的学习生活节奏，主动融入校园、勇于提问探索，在多元文化碰撞中开阔视野、共同成长。希望同学们以崭新的姿态开启预科新生活，脚踏实地、勤学不辍，不负韶华，顺利通过各科考核，迈入理想专业，在哈工大书写属于自己的青春华章。
Zhang Jingwen, teacher from Department of Education and Teaching of CIE, encouraged students to adapt quickly to the new rhythm of study and campus life, take an active part in campus activities, and get ready at all times to ask questions and pursue knowledge. With exchanges of diverse cultures, they should broaden their horizons and grow together. It is hoped that students will embark on their pre-university studies with a brand new mindset, stay down to earth and keep studying diligently, live up to their youth, pass all academic assessments successfully, gain admission to their ideal majors, and write their own brilliant chapters of youth.
